What's up with Woona? Why is she sad? Did something scare her? Well luckily Tia's got her Cartographer's cap to cheer her up.
--- Ahh, this picture took ages to finish. Well, several months at least, and I changed and added to the concept way too many times. But I'm rather satisfied with the result. I really love Moonstuck and I just had a huge urge to draw Woona. Though I love her as her colored version as well so I thought I'd make a merge of the two.
The flowing manes and excessively bushy tails more than make up for it. Literally, Woona hiding behind her tail while upset, protected in the safety if her sisters mane is so distracting that I didn't notice the arms even after several viewings.
Also the cartographer's cap takes the viewers eyes in the complete opposite direction.
This art piece, and others like it, have inspired me to have a comic commissioned. Your not going to like it.
When doing this I mainly wanted to make a picture with really, really bushy manes/tails, but yeah, I'm rather noobish a drawing and those legs might not have been my best works, as well as having most of the stuff hidden by hair. I also tend to go a bit off and add a lot of stuff that the picture might not need. The socks, hat and background for example.
Wait and see. That Cartographer's cap can be REALLY important. Personally I would have looked up other pictures for leg reference. There are thousands of similar art pieces.
My main problem with the cap is, as you yourself said, that it almost diverts and confuses where you should look in the picture. The faces or the hat, it's two centre-points which might not go too good together.
And yeah, I'll probably have to fix the arms a bit better when I got time.
*Looks at the statistics* woah, over 3000 views and 400 favorites might not be much for other people but damn, for me it's rather much. This picture got more popular than I'd though, and now I'm finally back to draw again Thanks for all the wonderful comments!
